Walkers ‘Carry The Load’ for veterans

(Greenville, TX) - A crowd of area residents, including a Hunt County Justice of the Peace, participated Saturday in a long walk to support America’s veterans.

The East Coast Relay of the “Carry The Load” effort passed through the county and downtown Greenville on its way to its final destination in Dallas today. It is the fifth year the walk has appeared locally.

Organization strives to ‘carry the load’ of those that serve the country

(Fort Hood, TX) KXXV - A long journey meant to honor those who serve our country made a stop at Fort Hood Friday.

Carry the Load participants have been walking or riding bikes all the way from Seattle this month in preparation for Memorial Day.

They made it to Fort Hood Friday where they held a rally with the help of the First Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment.

Memorial Day celebrations begin today

(Rockwall, TX) - Carry the Load is also hosting a two-day Dallas Memorial March. It begins on May 28 at noon at Reverchon Park and ends May 29 at 3 p.m. at Reverchon Park. The address for Reverchon Park is 3505 Maple Ave., Dallas.

Carry the Load comes through Rockwall

(HEATH, TX ) Join the Rockwall County First Responders Team at the Rockwall County Courthouse on May 28 to greet the National Carry the Load Relay Team as it comes through town on the way to the Dallas Memorial March at Reverchon Park. The National Relay Team is expected to arrive in Rockwall at 1 a.m.

(San Antonio, Tx) - The Carry the Load relay is traveling by bike and on foot from Seattle to Dallas for a Memorial Day rally.

The event in San Antonio, which is being held Wednesday, May 24, 2017, will be seen live on KENS5.com and during KENS 5 Eyewitness News at 4 and 5 p.m.

Carry The Load returning

(Greenville, TX) - A long walk in support of America’s veterans returns to Hunt County this weekend.  Local volunteers are being sought to help “Carry The Load” during Memorial Day.  The East Coast Relay of the walk began in West Point, N.Y. and is scheduled to pass through Greenville and Hunt  County Saturday.  It is the fifth year in a row Carry The Load has come through Hunt County on its way to its final destination in Dallas Sunday.
