SAN ANTONIO — A nation-wide effort honoring veterans made a stop Sunday in downtown San Antonio.

Non-profit “Carry the Load” travels the country to remind people about the true meaning of Memorial Day.

This route started in Seattle handing off the American flag every five miles.
