Walkers ‘Carry The Load’ for veterans

(Greenville, TX) – A crowd of area residents, including a Hunt County Justice of the Peace, participated Saturday in a long walk to support America’s veterans.

The East Coast Relay of the “Carry The Load” effort passed through the county and downtown Greenville on its way to its final destination in Dallas today. It is the fifth year the walk has appeared locally.

Organization strives to ‘carry the load’ of those that serve the country

(Fort Hood, TX) KXXV – A long journey meant to honor those who serve our country made a stop at Fort Hood Friday.

Carry the Load participants have been walking or riding bikes all the way from Seattle this month in preparation for Memorial Day.

They made it to Fort Hood Friday where they held a rally with the help of the First Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment.
