Carry The Load returning

(Greenville, TX) – A long walk in support of America’s veterans returns to Hunt County this weekend.  Local volunteers are being sought to help “Carry The Load” during Memorial Day.  The East Coast Relay of the walk began in West Point, N.Y. and is scheduled to pass through Greenville and Hunt  County Saturday.  It is the fifth year in a row Carry The Load has come through Hunt County on its way to its final destination in Dallas Sunday.

Making Memorial Day truly memorial

But people in my generation seem to have forgotten why we have the holiday in the first place, which is to pay due respect to those who served and died. Carry the Load Travels Through Kenbridge

(Kenbridge, VA)–The Southside Messenger–During this journey, the group traveled through the Kenbridge area on May 10th around 2 am. They came from Blackstone and passed through Craig Mill Road and Sneads Store Road, on there way to South Hill and into North Carolina.

(LaVergne, TN)–Rally

Come out and participate in the rally on Thursday, May 18, 2017to show support for our veterans and those who currently serve. The event will begin at 4:00pm at the La Vergne/Smyrna city limit and end for the day at La Vergne City Hall.
